Rent help for sick essential worker

Donation protected

Hi everyone,

My name is Alli and up until November I was an essential healthcare worker. I had to leave work because my health got to be too bad to continue working. I put in countless hours working as a CNA with patients that had Covid. I noticed back in May that I had shortness of breath. I originally thought I had covid. I went and got tested and they discovered that I had pulmonary nodules in my lungs as well as a right bundle branch block in my heart (which was why my pulse was constantly above 115).  I kept working as hard as I could and tried to ignore all that was going on medically and focus on my patients instead, but sadly in the past 3 months I have noticed a severe decline and an increase in my symptoms, as well as new symptoms. (Among these: shortness of breath, inability to regulate temperature, extreme weight loss, loss of appetite, easy bruising, extreme fatigue that doesn't go away/having to sleep 90% of my day but never feeling rested, insomnia, night sweats, bone/joint pain all over my body, heart pain). I get worse daily and I haven't been able to go back to work because of my severe condition. Every activity takes so much energy that I have only left my apartment for doctor's appointments, and because of my health, I am trying to further reduce my exposure to other people so I don't catch anything else on top of fighting this. Doctor's still don't exactly know what is going on, so I have been referred to specialists and am playing the "try this and see what happens" thing with their recommendations. I hate asking for help. I would much rather just sell things I have to make the extra money, but like I said, I can't really leave my apartment because of my health so packages and such wouldn't arrive quickly if I did. I worked closely paycheck to paycheck when I was working and was able to have enough in savings to hold me for last month, but this month I am about $350 short of being able to make rent. If you could share this or help, every little bit helps and adds up and it would mean a lot to me so I can continue to focus on rest and healing. I hate not being able to work and I miss helping patients more then anything.

Love, Alli
