Renovate A Homeless Man's Van

Hi guys!

There’s a guy we assist through my charity who lives in this van with his two dogs. We've been assisting him with food relief and personal items, as well as food for his doggos since December last year. 

We want to renovate his van for him, literally gut it and fit it out with a proper bed and storage cupboards for his belongings, install a 12v Fan and LED lights, install a kitchenette and table for him to have meals etc and a pooch pad for his two companion dogs. 

This guy doesn’t have much as you can see in the image above, and he’s one of the most humble people we've ever met. We are currently organising trade experts and materials for the project, and estimate the total build to be about $10,000 which we are hoping to have about half of the materials all donated and the other half as this gofund account to buy the remaining as we need it. 

We have already fixed some of the mechanics including new brake pads, and a full service, and are currently organising a full interior revamp, a new back window which is currently broken and boarded up, installing a side window and insulation, as well as an extraction vent and sunroof in the ceiling. The estimated time to complete this project will take around 3 weeks with the main install we are dedicating an entire week to this, along with many other tradies to pull off this fit out over 3 days mid to late April 2020. Accommodation is being provided for this man and his two dogs for 5 nights. 

Above is the estimated build plan and what the expected renovation will look like. As you can see from the profile image, it will be a huge boost for this man and his two doggos!
