Reno Soup for the Soul

Many people are hungry and lack basic living necessities now more than ever. They are living on the streets, along the river, in their vehicles, anywhere they can. My mom and I wanted a way to directly help those in need so we decided to make homemade soup. We started slowly in October 2020 and delivered 30 soup containers on our trial run. November 15th we had our second trip and due to the generosity of others, we were able to serve 65 containers of soup and 25 care packages. We have now completed 6 weekend runs since October and still going! Check out our updates on our progress as it’s updated weekly. We are extremely thankful to those who help cook the soups that we deliver. We’re grateful for everyone who donates supplies or to the gofundme. Any amount helps as it goes further than you would think! It is appreciated by those who received the food and care packages and brought a lot of smiles to the recipients. We are hoping to continue this project long term as the need will there! Wool socks, blankets, gloves, and beanies are asked for most often. We include care packages with some of these items and plan to do much more. Reno Soup for the Soul was created in order to continually help our community by directly giving food to those in need. We also aim to make and distribute care packages in order to give those in need what they require most to get through the seasons.
