Nursing Medical Trip to Uganda
This May I will be traveling to Masindi, Uganda for ten days with my Nursing Program. 14 nursing students and 2 faculty members will be traveling along side Palmetto Medical Initiative's group of 25 people. I feel extremely blessed to be one of the 14 students chosen to go on this journey.
My time in Uganda will be spent staffing The
Masindi-Kitara Medical Center, Palmetto Medical Initiative's first project. This
facility is a leading healthcare center in the Masindi region, meeting a
vital need for quality and accessible medical care for thousands of deserving
people in eastern Africa. Their newest addition is a maternity center where I
will be able to work alongside a Certified Nurse Midwife to bring babies into
this world!
Words cannot express how excited I am to be given a chance to travel to Africa with my Nursing program for a once in a lifetime educational experience. Your generous donation will help cover the cost of airfare, accommodations, meals, medical supplies, housing, and immunizations.
