Remembering Teri Henry

Hi everyone! My name is Melissa, and I am a friend of the Henry Family. As most of you know, Teri went to be with the Lord on December 15th, 2021, after a 7 year battle with cancer. In her passing, she leaves behind her husband, Hank, and their two daughters, Makayla and Makenna. So many of you have reached out asking how you can help the family in this devastating time of need. In speaking with Hank, he has written a testimony of Teri and his girls, and what would best assist them in their time of need:

“Teri Henry passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 after a 7+ year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Her family was her passion, and her daughter’s college education was very important to her. This fund raiser is established to ensure Teri’s and her husband's, Hank, dream of a college education is realized for their daughters Makayla and Makenna. Makayla is a senior at Allen D. Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, FL. She is co-Editor in Chief of the Yearbook, a member of the Lacrosse team, a member of the National Honor Society and is enrolled in the Hospitality and Tourism Academy. However, her passion is taking her in a different direction. She plans to double major in Mathematics and Secondary Education and become a middle school math teacher. Her dream is to attend Florida State University. She has applied; however, FSU does not publish admissions results until February 17, 2022. We pray daily for admission. Makenna is a sophomore, also at Allen D. Nease High School. She too is a very good student and has found her passion. She is enrolled in the Communications Academy, specializing in Television Production. She assists in writing, producing, filming, and editing the school’s daily news broadcast, Wired. She plans to continue enrollment in this academy and continue into her college major.
