Remembering Enda Byrne: 51km walking challenge

In memory of our dear colleague, Enda Byrne, who is greatly missed, the Excel Recruitment Group will be taking part in a 51km walking challenge. Enda would have been 51 on April 12th, and so we will be walking 51km in memory of him, on Saturday April 13th, 2024. As a team, we will walk from Enfield to our Dublin HQ at the Capel Building in Dublin 7.

Enda was a cherished friend and colleague, who’s unwavering dedication and enthusiasm touched every aspect of our work in Excel Recruitment. Whether it was a charitable cause, a work event or his dedication to his candidates and clients, Enda consistently poured his heart and soul into everything he did, always giving the extra 110%. Since he joined Excel in 2018, his kindness, humour, and exceptional work ethic have left an undeniable mark on all of us.

Enda fought a long and brave fight against cancer before passing on December 21st, 2023. During Enda's illness, he was adamant that he would not be dictated by his condition, and he lived his life to the absolute maximum. It is impossible to put into words how much we will miss him. However, to honour him and his legacy we will embark on this 51km challenge with a goal of raising €10,000 for Enda's family, as they navigate through this period of loss and transition. The funds raised will go directly to Enda’s wife, Tanya, and his family to help alleviate any financial burdens they may face during this challenging time.
