Relief fund for Dumont housefire families
Donation protected
Just before 10am on the morning of May 4th, 2019, fire broke out on Quackenbush Ave in Dumont. Fortunately, rapid action by Dumont PD ensured that no lives were lost and with the efforts of the Dumont FD and surrounding towns, the fire was kept from spreading.
Unfortunately, there still is a great deal of damage to the house and many of the tenants' possessions were either lost to fire or water damage. Additionally, the building has been deemed unsafe to inhabit until further notice.
Two families (Shannon Vassallo and Jamee Rufo) are impacted by this fire. One of them is an active member in the Dumont Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the other is the sister of a Dumont police officer. Two families that have sacrificed much for the good of Dumont. Now is your chance to reach out and help these families in their time of need.
