Relief for Father and Daughter in car accident

Eric and Mckayla Nguyen were driving to school on December 7, 2022 and were tragically hit on the driver's side by a semi-truck. Both Eric and Mckayla were rushed by helicopter to Blake hospital after the crash. Both father and daughter sustained life-threatening injuries and remained in ICU for 1 month.

Mckayla sustained a broken pelvis, broken left leg and broken ribs. She was able to go home December 29, 2022 in a wheel-chair. She will remain chair bound for three months and will begin her long road to recovery in physical therapy.

Eric remained in a coma until December 24, 2022. It was a Christmas miracle he woke up on Christmas eve however he remained in ICU until January 7, 2023. He sustained several injuries including 6 broken ribs, left lung collapse due to his rib puncturing and left brain injury. He continues to be on feeding tubes and hasn't been able to speak or move yet. He has a very long road to recovery ahead of him.

Eric (50) is a husband to Lisa and father to Mckayla (16) and Dylan (20). Eric and wife Lisa are local business owners here in Sarasota running Luxurious Nails and Spa. Eric is a loving husband and father. Mckayla loves spending time with her friends and family and is an avid soccer player.
