1000th Tree!
We couldn't be more excited. After two short years, we will have reached our 1,000th tree planted in Petaluma. With countless hours from our incredible volunteers, together we have arrived at this impressive milestone. Petaluma is dedicated to planting native trees in Petaluma.

While much of our funding comes from grants, these funds do not cover many of the necessities it takes to achieve our ambitious programs. Please consider donating.

$25.00 - A Tree Steward Kit - Supply our dedicated Tree Stewards everything they need to perform their task efficiently and successfully. Kit includes a moisture meter, pruning clippers, and ReLeaf vest.

$50.00 - 5 Volunteer Lunches - Provide a delicious lunch to 5 of our wonderful volunteers on planting day. Planting days bring together community volunteers to plant trees. Volunteers are provided lunch as a thank you for their hard work. All lunches are sourced from a local Petaluma business.

$100.00 - Buy A Tree - Gift the town of Petaluma with a beautiful native tree. Releaf volunteers will lovingly plant your gift in the city of Petaluma to be enjoyed for generations to come.

$250.00 - Pod Tool Kit - Planting and maintaining trees takes tools, and lots of them. Help build ReLeaf's capacity with the necessary tools for one 10-person 'pod' of volunteers. This kit provides ReLeaf with a step ladder, wheelbarrow, clippers and stake pounder.

$500.00 - Teen Training Workshop - ReLeaf Petaluma is committed to working with underserved Petaluma youth. This teen training gift will enable an additional teen training workshop for 5 teens. Releaf will teach about local biodiversity, and the importance of native trees and wildlife, as well as about green jobs and how to prepare and find them. Our leadership team includes arborists and local teachers.

$1,000- Support A Tree Planting Event Day - ReLeaf Tree Planting events are wonderful community events that draw many volunteers. Your gift would ensure that the volunteers receive a energizing breakfast, snacks, coffee and lunch.

$5,000 - Tree Out A Local Park - Gift a local park or open space a complete makeover. This gift will enable Releaf to dedicate our full array of planning and planting services to a local park/open space. This will provide shade and heat relief to a campus that is used by the community for years to come. Trees are proven to reduce stress and anxiety. What an incredible gift to our town!

No gift is too small (or too large). Thank you for your support!

All gifts will be used as designated to the best of ReLeaf's abilities. If any gifts become over or underfunded, your gift will be used in a similar fashion to create the most impact.

ReLeaf Petaluma is on a mission to get 10,000 trees planted in our town and restore Petaluma’s Tree Canopy! Every $100 we receive, will plant one tree! Your contribution of any amount will help!

Over the past 50 years, Petaluma has suffered a substantial loss in our “Tree Canopy" (that’s the number of trees and extent to which trees shade us). Tree Canopy is critically important for fighting Climate Change, as it:
   • keeps us cool in the summer
   • surrounds us with fresh air and diverse wildlife
   • has been shown to slow traffic
   • reduces noise pollution.

Unfortunately, Petaluma’s Tree Canopy currently ranks near the bottom of Bay Area cities. Worsening the situation, our trees have been hit hard by drought and limited city budget.

ReLeaf Petaluma has a plan to reverse this trend! Our campaign includes not just the planting 10,000 trees within Petaluma, but also the sustained promotion of native tree planting, maintenance, and preservation to make our city more livable and resilient in this era of Climate Change!

Supported by City Hall, ReLeaf Petaluma will plant native trees in parks and other public lands, in street medians and sidewalks, within schoolyards, and even on commercial and private property. Partnership with property owners is key, and additional focus will be given to under-served neighborhoods and tree deserts (highly tree-deficient areas).

Your contribution will have an impact! It is needed to acquire the trees and continue the planting already begun by many volunteers. Thank you for your kind donation, and please share this page with family and friends. Together, Petalumans will make our city better!

ReLeaf Petaluma is a grassroots, volunteer organization of people who live and work in Petaluma. To learn more about our work or to volunteer, please visit www.releafpetaluma.org

Your gift will be processed through the Trees Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides fiscal and legal services for ReLeaf Petaluma. Thank you!
