The Refugee Coalition of East Africa (RefCEA) is a registered community organisation for and by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) migrants, refugees, and asylum-seekers. Its vision is to unite various LGBTQ+ Refugee organizations in Kenya under an umbrella organization, to advocate for and provide fiscal management and oversee research initiatives for its member organizations.
This year we look back on the journey we started as a community with the aim of bringing unity, sustainability and pride to the LGBTQ+ refugee and asylum seeker community in Kenya. These past three years have been phenomenal, eventful, inspiring and such a learning curve for our community.

Creating sustainability through our resilience!!!
The past three years have been an amazing way of creating a stronger and more empowered LGBTQ+ refugee community, catering for the short term, mid-term and long term needs of LGBTQ+ refugees living in Kenya.
We have achieved so much together.
Through resilience and advocacy, we have created a conducive environment for queer refugee led groups in Kenya.
