Redmond Pride Event!

Hello! I am a Washington LGBTQ+ activist on the Eastside of the Seattle area. I am creating and raising money for the Eastside's first Pride celebration. This event will consist of established equity & equality-focused organizations/non-profits, queer artists/performers, and local LGBTQ+ owned businesses. Because June is not the only time our community should feel pride and be acknowledged (plus the last two years have been a fever dream anyway) this event will be held on September 3rd, 2022!

 

The Eastside feels a world away from the support and community events that Seattle has for its queer community, and it's beyond overdue that there is an LGBTQ+ gathering across the bridge from Seattle! Many of us cannot travel to Seattle on a good day due to the anxiety-filled traffic, toll bridge or lack of money. These factors are even more daunting when it comes to going to a mass city-wide event, where many may not be able to attend due to their parents being unsupportive, they may not be out yet, or the immense crowds may scare them away. We deserve something close to home where we can feel safe, seen and celebrated.

 

Funds gathered for this event will go to pay for the venue, permit, insurance, as well as pay LGBTQ+ performers for showing their goods!

 

In lieu of the mass and increasing amount of anti-LGBTQ+ bills being passed, our community needs to feel connected. Please donate what you can so the Eastside can show it's support for these beautiful people!
