Recovery and Rehoming of Pam Mayor

My name is Kate, and I'm fundraising for a fellow Co-worker, upstanding pillar of the community, and dear friend of mine, Pamela Mayor. She is a hardworking woman who has given so much to those around her and asked for little.

Living her whole life in Leesburg, VA, she raised two children as a single parent working multiple local retail jobs since the 80s, providing a necessary essential service to the community. This was done on foot the entire time as she has never owned a vehicle for herself, requiring her to walk daily to jobs, rain or shine. At the same time, living in a compact trailer house.

Despite all her hardships and struggles, she managed and continued to work past any obstacle life threw her way. Even worked as an essential state employee at the Virginia ABC during the entirety of the 2020 Pandemic and continues to serve as a high-risk member of the community.

Yet, for all of her hard work and continued optimistic outlook on life, she has been given the greatest challenge anyone can face now. She sadly lost her home to an electrical house fire caused by water heating appliances as she didn't even have hot running water in her trailer home.

In the face of this tragedy, she continues to push forward and attempt to work her way past. She is more than just an acquaintance to me, she is a dear friend, and I can't help but wish I could do more, and I can do more this Gofundme is my way of helping out someone who, for a long time, could use the extra hand.

Her children will be moving her to their home in California following these events, where she will now live with her family, happily retired and surrounded by those she loves.
