Rebuilding Aid for Janet

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, structures will be rebuilt; wind burned vegetation will find its bright green luster; and island life will return to its exuberance at a snail's pace. However, in the moment my mother and myself have lost irreplaceable memories. The house which I called home since 1988 was vaporized; roof, walls, and possessions were scattered amongst the hillside. My hope is to provide her with direct relief to lighten the financial load during the re-engineering process. This GoFundMe was created because of all the inquiries by friends wanting to help. The money raised will go immediately towards securing concrete blocks, steel, wood, and galvanized roofing. We have a contractor in place and we plan to start putting the pieces together again as soon as possible. We'd love to share our gratitude by inviting you to experience the magic of our island once we are back on our feet.
