RECONSTRUCTION OF TWO KENYAN LOCAL SCHOOLS

Hello!

We are a group of nine volunteers working in two local schools, Sunrise Junior Academy and Diani Elite Education Center.

The kids have a motivation to study that we have never seen before. They love going to class, and they are full of energy and dreams. However, the lack of resources is an unfair barrier to their right to quality education.

The conditions in which these children study are inhuman: the weak ceilings filter the water from the heavy rains of the winter season, creating a moist environment that spreads mold across walls; the kitchen is made of metal sheets and it does not have ventilation, which is against every health and safety policy; the classes are precarious, made of simple columns of wood and a few metal panels on top. The attached photos speak for themselves.

We are now collecting funds to reconstruct one kitchen (Sunrise) and three classrooms (one in Sunrise, two in Elite).
