Welcome to The Woodrow!  

Hello, I am Duasone and this is my better half Gregory, and this is our home!

We could not be happier or more excited on renovating this piece of history in Detroit. The home was built in 1915 and is just blocks away from the Motown Museum.

Gregory acquired the property through auction and purchased it on June 15, 2017.  It was more than what we had hoped to pay for.  Since day one, we both have been hard at work on the house and have not had a day's rest.  We have poured thousands of dollars out of our own pocket into purchasing and renovating.  We were given 6 months to renovate the home and bring it up to C of O.  Before we knew it, time was passing by quickly.  We had hit a bump on the road and realized that the reconstruction process was costing us a little more out of our budget.  If we fail to bring it up to code within the given time frame we could lose everything. 

Within the amount of time that we have been working on The Woodrow, we have met many of our neighbors who have stopped by to encourage and support us by lending a helping hand and some have even mentioned how seeing us working on our home has brought hope into the community.  This was very humbling to hear.  It amazes me to see the kind of love and support and how it can transform a community. 

So we are asking you for your support in helping us reach our goal to help us finish this project in making Detroit that much better.  You would not only be helping us, but helping the community rebuild itself.  

Once the renovations are done, we would like to live in the home and also host and share our experiences of Detroit with our family, friends and travelers from all over.

We love Detroit! There is so much potential in the city and we want to continue to see it grow.
