I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt appeal for Valerie Francis-Lee and her family, who faced a devastating ordeal. In the early hours of November 17, 2023, at 4 AM, Valerie's family was confronted with a devastating crisis as their home was engulfed in flames due to unforeseen electrical malfunctions.

In this critical moment, Valerie's brave daughter took swift action, understanding the urgency of the situation. With her mother being partially disabled and her grandmother bedridden, it was her quick thinking that ensured their safety, along with her toddler daughter's. Si

nce that fateful day, Valerie, her mother, her daughter, and her granddaughter have been displaced.

Their home, now an unsafe structure, has left them without shelter. The initial assistance they received—a $600 contribution from the Red Cross and some money was raised by colleagues—is far from sufficient as they have used these funds for Air BNBs.
