Rebuilding Ama’s House

Hello Everyone, My Name is Francisco Soto and I am the Grandson of María Soto (Ama). Back on February 22nd, My Grandmas neighbors house caught fire, It then jumped onto my Grandmas house and caught fire…. Unfortunately, My Grandma didn’t have insurance on her house and the neighbors insurance decided to not cover the damages to my Grandmas house…. My Grandmother has lived in this house for almost 60 years! I hate that my Grandmother is having to go through this at her age, she is 99 years old and God willing, she will be turning 100 in June. My Grandfather, Jesus Soto helped build this house in 1965, so it has a lot of sentimental value to a lot of us…. The outside of the house doesn’t look too bad, but inside it sustained a lot of damage! It totally destroyed two of the bedrooms, the living room,kitchen & a lot of smoke damage to the remainder of the house…. Our goal is to raise enough money to repair the electrical, roof, any beams or wood that caught fire, replace all the insulation, windows, doors & Sheetrock…. And any money left over from the repairs will go to replace the couches, window shades, bedroom sets, stove, refrigerator & any odds and ends she may need….
