Rebuild one flood damaged house

I am setting up this page to hopefully raise enough funds to at least help one family affected by the recent floods in Sri Lanka. Whilst we cannot help everyone, this an effort to build at least one brick at a time.

Funds will be used without any administration costs except for the fees payable to Go Fund Me website, exclusively to build or repair a house of one of victims of the floods.

The plan is to raise funds at least within a month so that we can provide immediate relief to an affected family.

The selection of the recipient family ill done through the local religeous and community organisations in conjunction with a local co-ordinator. (details of these organisations and persons can be provided upon request)

This is a small gesture from us to contribute in some way to at least address the housing needs of one family.

I was involved in providing similar housing to Tsunami Victims which was funded previously my employer at the time in Sri Lanka. My role was primarily to manage the project as a volunteer and to ensure that the funds are allocated to the deserving and affected persons and also to ensure that the construction is completed and houses are handed over on time.

I will create a blog after raising funds to ensure that everyone can follow the progress online and also ask any questions relating to their donations.  Any amount is welcome.
