Rebuild Neighborhood Basketball Courts

My name is Davon Moore and together with my partner, Christian, we’re rebuilding the basketball courts in our neighborhood in Parkville, Maryland. We are both passionate about the game of basketball and truly believe it brings the community together in a positive way.
We started this effort using our own money and with all the support received. we decided to use this platform to let others join us in the cause. We need to build our neighborhoods back up and just $80 covers the price of a new rim! All of the money raised on this campaign goes to purchasing supplies to rebuild these courts: paint for backboards, purchasing new rims, supplies to install rims, wood to replace backboards, and the kit to draw the basketball lines on courts.
We’ve had people from all over the neighborhood tell us that the work we’re doing has inspired them to get out and play. Neighborhood kids and adults alike are coming together to enjoy each other’s company, get exercise, and have a good time. We love seeing how these rebuilt courts inspire connection and bring everyone together.
So far, we’ve rebuilt 4 courts in our neighborhood and we have many more to go. We'll continue to work towards our ultimate goal to create our own foundation, but until then, we're focused on rebuilding as many courts as possible.
