Rebuild Hope for Heather and Family

Typical sisters talking last Thursday about who was gonna get hit by Hurricane Helene worst. We talked about our emergency plans and we would talk later. Fast forward to Thursday night when they had to evacuate in chest-deep water to a hotel. I woke up Friday morning to see the damage we got and called my sister. In between her sobs, I heard we lost everything. Thank God Heather, Paul, Christian, and their animals made it out, but that was it. The storm surge left all their belongings floating in 4 feet of water and sewage. Imagine losing everything that you have saved your whole life: your childhood pictures, wedding albums, all your furniture, clothing...

Heather and Christian both worked at a restaurant that is currently closed due to the storm, so they have no source of income. They are able to stay at Paul's mother’s temporarily, but due to the animals, it is not a long-term situation. It is going to take months to rebuild. No amount is too small.
