Reasonable Accomodation

For several years, I have worked as a personal care aide for a chemistry professor who is physically disabled and uses a wheelchair.  She has been invited to present at this year's ACS (American Chemical Society) conference.  Unfortunately, the university's funding will not stretch to cover her traveling with an aide (me) which is necessary for her to participate.  My pay as an aide is not enough for me to afford to travel with her.  

I am looking to raise enough to cover my travel expenses to aide for her during the week of the conference.  This would be enough for my plane ticket, enough to upgrade her room to a larger one that has room for me, and a small per deim for food as I would have to eat out for every meal.  

The conference is the first week in April.  

Attending this conference would allow my employer to share her groundbreaking work on chemical imaging, to learn what others in her field have been doing, and to network extensively.
