"REAL WOMEN" - West End Finale

Donation protected

On the 8th May 2016, 'REAL WOMEN' will come to the end of their incredible journey live on stage at The Playhouse Theatre in London's West End.

Following a rollercoaster journey worthy of any Brit Flick, the show which started life in an old, unused Community Centre in Llanrwst, Wales, will be performed for ‘One Night only’ in London. A remarkable testament to the real-life stories told by thirteen inspirational ‘Real Women.’

Varying in age from 30 to 70, these ordinary, extraordinary ladies will take to the West End stage to share the best (and worst!) tales of being blessed with XX chromosomes!

Real Women unites women of all ages, shapes and sizes, so this is for every woman everywhere!

We want you in London, cheering these amazing Women on as they take to the West End stage.

However, if you can't be with us on this special day but still want to support us, would you consider making a donation?

No amount is too small...... Or too large!

In return for your generosity your name (should you leave it with your donation) will be printed in the programme available to the audience on the big night.

Thank you in advance.

Let's make this show the best it can be!

MORE ABOUT THE SHOW

REAL women, REAL stories, REAL laughter!

In 2012 a group of women in their little village hall, devised the show of their lives– about their lives – and it became a sell out success across their home country, Wales. What followed was a story of triumph, joy and despair as just four of the ladies were chosen to tell their tales on stage at the Theatre Royal Windsor. Alongside  professional actresses Jenny Seagrove, Sue Holderness and Sara Crowe they became the depleted ‘Whingeing Women’.

Cracks appeared and the group took some time out to reflect. Now all 13 are reunited to take to the London stage for this very happy ending!

Uniting women of all ages, shapes and sizes, 'REAL WOMEN' is a no holds barred exposé of the Modern British Woman. The women share their frank, funny, and sometimes moving and risqué experiences – baring their souls on stage and telling it like it is!

'REAL WOMEN' proves that laughter really is the best medicine, and the perfect recipe for a great night out.

“Saucy stage show goes down a storm.”
The Daily Post

“The perfect girls night out!”
Claire Richards ‘STEPS’

Don’t miss REAL WOMEN live on stage – once you hear their stories, you’ll never forget them!

Director Craig Ryder said:

From our very first sell out performance, I always dreamed of a London performance for REAL WOMEN. To make it a reality is going to be incredible.

After weeks and months of therapy-style rehearsal sessions, REAL WOMEN was born.

I have pushed the women hard, sometimes too far and sometimes for too long, but in so doing we have created this wonderful piece of theatre. In the beginning I felt so lucky to witness these women baring their souls in the safe environment of the rehearsal studio. I encouraged them to share their stories with the world.

Working with these extraordinary women, these talented actresses whom I now call my friends, I have laughed endlessly. I’ve been constantly motivated, moved, uplifted, and most of all inspired by their bravery and commitment.

The question I asked the women at that first meeting on a wet Thursday evening was ‘What unites women?’

REAL WOMEN is a collaboration of their answers.

REAL WOMEN is a celebration of womanhood.

Grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, wives, girlfriends – this one is for you!

Please help us get these Real Welsh Women down to London… they really are bloody amazing!

Producer Mark Puddle said:

"It is fantastic that we have managed to get these truly fantastic Women a theatre in the West End. I came across them quite by accident when visiting my grandparents in North Wales. They are just 13 Real Women of all ages - just saying what everyone else is thinking! The journey they have come on is amazing, from a little village Hall in Llanrwst North Wales to London's West End. The show is funny, poignant and at times very moving, and I am so glad they will have their one night in the West End and I hope ‘Real Women’ from across the country will come and support them."

See you on the 8th May!
