RC:IE Fundraiser for Edel House
Donation protected
Good Shepherd Cork work with women and children who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Edel House is an emergency residential care center run by Good Shepherd which provides both emergency and medium term accommodation to girls, women and children.
Edel house is one of many local charities than has seen a huge increase in demand since the start of the pandemic. As we have all heard from the news reports, domestic abuse incidences have increased by more than 25% in Cork this year. An alarming figure to comprehend especially during a year when most fundraising activities have been cancelled.
All funds raised by RC:IE will go directly to Edel house and help them provide shelter, family support, education/training and to help women and children who
are vulnerable to homelessness to live a more fulfilled, self-sufficient and secure life.
The target has been set at €1,000. I understand these are difficult times for everyone so every penny is appreciated.
Please donate if you can,
Maeve
