RC flying field preparation

We are a newly formed group of Radio Control (RC) enthusiast who believes in building comradery and fun with family, friends, neighborhood schools and clubs through this long existing hobby. This will be a community oriented RC club, to serve local schools, model rocketry clubs, scouts, etc. We are even planning a dirt track for RC buggies, where kids could have fun and race each other. 

Many of us are currently members of an existing RC club called Georgia Modeler Aviators. As you may have heard, this club will be losing its flying field the end of this year as the county has decided not to renew our least of 15 years.

Our new club name is North Georgia Modeler Aviators. We have formed a search committee to begin this process of finding a new field. The good news is that we have found a location in Lumpkin county, near Dawsonville, Georgia.

Before we can commit to a long term lease agreement, we need to raise funds to go toward the development and buildout of this property. This will include clearing the heavily wood property, leveling the ground, building a club house and runway….at that is just the beginning.
