Hi Everyone, we are the Rayfield family! Brandon, Tasha & Everly.
Tasha and I (Brandon) met during our college years and married two years after graduation. We enjoyed our new life together as a young couple. I knew Tasha was going to make a great mother someday. After some time, we decided we wanted to add to our family.
We tried for about 2 years to get pregnant with no success. We had experienced miscarriages. We had fertility testing done, with no issues being found. At this point, we discussed a future with no children. We spent lots of time enjoying our marriage and dating each other.
After many months, we still had a strong desire to share our life together with children. We knew there were many countries with high numbers of orphans. With our Christian background, we believe taking care of the orphans and widows is an important work of love. James 1:27 says, "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."
We decided we would look into international adoption. Then surprisingly, the next month, we had a positive pregnancy test that nine months later resulted in the birth of our beautiful daughter, Everly. Now that she is entering toddlerhood, we have decided we would like to add to our family again. We have prayerfully decided to return to the option of international adoption.
We are using Lifeline Children Services to pursue adoption internationally. We are excited to work with Lifeline because of their focus and concern about the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of all involved in the adoption of a child.
First, if you believe in the power of prayer then please pray for our family. Pray for our child that is not yet with us and his or her birth family. Pray for big sister Everly and our marriage. Overall, pray for us to seek God first in all we do throughout the coming years.
Second, If you are able, consider helping us raise funds for our adoption costs. Our total goal is approximately $35,000 over the whole process which is estimated to take 2.5 years or so.
