Ravi's double lung transplant surgery in India

On behalf of Ravi (currently at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad, India), I, Kamla Ghugtiyal seek social, moral and monetary support during these tough moments for our families in India. Am currently based out of Seattle WA and pray to the Almighty for my real brother's (Ravinder Rawat) good health and recovery.

 

Ravi is currently suffering from infected lungs (both) that are barely operating at 20% capacity; making his survival very difficult. Ravi's condition has worsened during the pandemic times and has been in hospitalization in Delhi region for over a month now. At the advice of senior doctors in Metro Hospital , Noida our family has now taken Ravi to Hyderabad day on Oct 16, 2021 in order to potentially get the best world class treatment at Yashoda hospital in Hyderabad. Ravi is now kept under strict observation at the ICU of this reputed hospital in Hyderabad.

 

Very recently, Ravi's condition went from bad to worse due to the development of a hole in one of the lungs; resulting in respiratory problems of greater magnitude. The suggested treatment and course of action is nothing less than double lung transplant which is the only way we can hope to give him a new life. According to inputs from the hospital and doctor's guidance, total cost of treatment is likely to exceed US$150k over the course of time.

 

Our immediate and extended family members are doing their best to give Ravi a fresh life ahead and with that we seek support from society, friends and from the kind hearted people additionally. My brother at a young age of 35 is struggling to come to terms with his condition that has continued to worsen over the last 4 years. Worsening climate condition in Delhi region has also made his life more miserable. He lives with his wife and 4 year old kid along with our respectable father who is already past 60 yrs and facing enormous burden during this period of time.

 

Financially my father in India is saddled with enormous debt at this advanced age to be able to muster enough strength, perseverance and required money for this treatment .

 

We appeal to the ALMIGHTY, friends, extended society members and kind hearted people to support the cause and help us sustain during this tough period of time with prayers, blessings, donations and whatever monetary contribution they can provide to help our family overcome such challenging times.
