Raoul's Restaurant Staff Relief Fund
On Sunday March 15 Raoul's Restaurant was required by Government mandate to close indefinitely to aid in the reduction of the spread of COVID-19. It was a devastating decision, but Raoul's was left with no other choice but to protect the health of their guests, members of their team and our broader community.
All employees; members of the Raoul's team - have lost their jobs- they don't know when they will be able to come back to work or when they will receive their next paycheck. They include chefs, prep cooks, servers, bartenders, bar backs, bussers, hosts, porters, and more. These are the people who have cooked your dinner, prepared your drinks, waited your tables and have done all they can to make your birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions unforgettable. They are people who have made the business of hospitality their career and they are now facing unprecedented uncertainty.
The messages of support Raoul's Restaurant has received from their community since the closure have been touching and overwhelming, and every one is appreciated. I am now asking you to channel this support into financial support for the team's most vulnerable. They need your help.
Any contribution, however small is greatly appreciated and:
100% OF ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE GOING DIRECTLY TO RAOUL'S RESTAURANT'S EMPLOYEES.
Proceeds will be distributed to help with rent and other living costs.
Distribution of these funds has been decided by the employees themselves, and all donations will be given directly to employees and not to Raoul's Restaurant.
The donations will be split evenly between all front and back of house service employees. It will be distributed by Jennifer Salvemini, Jennifer is a long time Raoul's employee.
Anything that you can do to support is greatly appreciated.
