Rallying to help Anna BEAT Cancer

Hi, my name is George and I am fundraising to help my wonderful sister Anna!

For those of you who may not have met Anna yet, she is an incredible mom of 4 boys, loving wife, tremendous friend, and the best sister you could ask for! She lives to serve. Whether it is her family, friends, teammates at work or members of her ward, she is always thinking of and doing for others! If you know Anna, you know that she would do anything for anyone and now it is our turn to be there for her!!!

With her permission, I wanted to share that she has recently received a shocking cancer diagnosis. A few months ago she began experiencing some hip pain, which became severe even after physical therapy and other attempts to alleviate the pain. In the search for the cause of her pain, her doctors found that she had a quite large tumor in her hip. She received her official diagnosis from the pathologist last week, Stage 3 Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma. This type of cancer is rare, and her tumor has been classified as high-risk by the medical review board, but she did receive a "clear" CT scan denoting that the cancer had not yet spread. She has not begun her treatment plan, which will include chemotherapy and radiation followed by surgery to remove the tumor. She is currently in a great deal of pain in this waiting game of diagnosis and treatment planning. She and her family could use all of the love and support we can give her as she begins this scary journey of healing.

I started this GoFundMe for her and any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated. We do not know at this time specifically what all this will entail for Anna, but we do know that she will be out of work for a period of time and her husband, Ken, will also need to have time away to help her with her care and managing the needs of their 4 boys. I am hoping that we can help them ease the burden of her medical expenses and provide some much needed support for them in this difficult and scary season.
