Nicole D’Urbano is one of the kindest, hardest-working, and most selfless people you will ever meet. She is a devoted daughter, sister, friend, volunteer, coach, and the beloved “Aunt Coco” to so many children who adore her. Nicole has always been the person who puts her own needs aside to show up for everyone else, without hesitation and without expecting anything in return.
On November 7th, Nicole’s world changed in an instant. After finding a lump during a self-exam, she immediately took action. Thanks to her quick instincts and doctors who moved swiftly, and with Kaylie advocating to get her testing moved up, Nicole received the diagnosis no one ever expects to hear: Triple-Negative Breast Cancer, Stage 2, Grade 3.
Within just eight days of hearing the words “you have cancer,” Nicole had to stop working. Her life, routine, and sense of normalcy were all turned upside down. Ahead of her is an intense treatment plan: six months of weekly chemotherapy, followed by surgery, and then radiation.
Through all of this, Nicole remains the same dependable, sincere, deeply compassionate person we all love, even checking on those she knows love her to see how they are doing hearing these awful words. But this time, she needs us.
With medical bills piling up, the loss of income, and the basic cost of living that will inevitably grow more difficult to manage, Nicole is facing a financial burden no one should have to carry while fighting for their life.
For someone who has spent her life giving to others, we now have the chance to show up for her in the same way she has shown up for us.
There is truly no one like Nicole. If you know her, you love her. Your support, in any amount, will help ease the weight on her shoulders so she can focus on what matters most: healing, fighting, and getting back to the people who need her and adore her.
Thank you for helping Nicole through the hardest chapter of her life.
