Help our friend Mick Cassar defy all the odds!

Beschermde donatie
Hello, thank you so much for supporting our dear friend Mick. Following last year's round of fund raising, he was written off by doctors and only given a few months to live. He has been to hell and back, with every complication you could possibly get (blood clots, embolisms, parasites, pneumonia, a collapsed lung...) mainly from the side effects of the very strong chemotherapy he has endured. Incredibly, against all the odds, he is still here and more importantly has passed all the tests which mean he can have surgery to try and remove the tumour from his pancreas. He had less than a 1% chance of reaching this stage. He is a total warrior. Instead of being elated at having got to this point, all he is worrying about now is how to pay for the surgery - approximately $30,000.
So we are reaching out again, to ask for any contribution you can manage to help take some of the burden off his shoulders so he can concentrate on getting better. Thank you so much.

Hi, my name is Enzo and I’m raising money to help one of my best mates, Mick Cassar, with medical costs and treatments (currently running at over $4000 a month). He’s just been diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer at the age of 53. Many of you knew Mick when he lived in Devon and then London. He now lives in Miami. Always lights up every room he walks into and makes everyone smile. Mick has been dealt way, way more than his fair share of bad luck in his life already. He lost Ana, the love of his life, in a tragic car crash, leaving him to raise their two young children on his own. He now urgently needs to find the money for treatment so he can get to spend more time with them. The cost of treatment is massive so whatever you can manage, it all counts and I would be really grateful. Time is of the essence so thank you for anything you can do.

Here is his story: I”m Micky, I’m a 53 year old man and a full-time employee at DEXimaging. I have been diagnosed with stage three inoperable pancreatic cancer. I am a widower with four children. Between the medications, doctors vists and basic living I am broke. I start a very aggressive course of chemotherapy tomorrow, which is another $1100 co-pay. Without it they give me 6-12 months, I’m strong and think I can kick its arse , I have NO CHOICE I have kids, two are grown and live in the UK and I was just blessed with a grandson, which is a crazy story as he was supposed to be born on 24 September and held out until October 4 which was the day my wife died. My other two children live with me who I support, one in college and the other still in school. I thank you for reading this, please keep my family and me in your prayers. Sincerely,
