Raising Funds to Support Mani's Children

Dear Family and Friends

Gurbinder Amar lost his baby brother, Manbir “Mani” Amar on August 31st in a sudden and tragic way. Mani was known by the community as an activist, photographer and filmmaker. He is survived by three children ( ages 12,11, and 9).

Gurbinder being the older brother has opened up his life and home to his brother’s children. Currently he is a father of his own 3 children and a father figure to his brother’s 3 children. Being a role model and father figure to 6 children on top of being a devoted husband and managing his career with a full time job is a lot for anyone.

Those who know Gurbinder, know you can count on him to lend his help whenever anyone needs it without asking for anything in return. He is a kind, modest and selfless person, taking on these additional responsibilities has created extra financial expenses due to funeral cost, household cost such as food and extra curricular activities for all children to ensure a ‘normal’ life after such a tragedy.

His friends and family have encouraged him to allow us to set up this page for him so he can get some financial relief as he continues to navigate the new challenges that have been put in front of him.

Monies will be utilized to support raising the children to provide them a stable home life.
