Raising funds for the food bank

In this crazy and uncertain time of COVID-19, I am hoping to raise $5000 in 19 days for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to support them in their efforts to feed our community and support those who need it during these hard times.

I am a middle-school teacher, and at the moment I am lucky enough to have a stable job and enough financial security to get me through the days. However, I know that the time ahead is going to be incredibly hard for our community as the economic impacts continue to increase. My goal is to inspire my students to #DoGoodFromHome and to show them that it is still possible to be brave and have hope in the days ahead. 

Additionally, if I can reach this goal in 19 days, I will shave my head, donate my hair, and pledge $500 to Carolina FTK, an organization at UNC-Chapel Hill that is close to my heart and that does amazing work at the UNC Children's Hospital.  I will also pledge an additional $50 for each $1000 above my initial goal!
