Please consider helping an endangered species, the rare and very expensive "large family".
Everyone knows raising kids is an expensive proposition. You might have seen the GoFundMe campaign that successfully raised almost $10k for an injured piglet, I thought we should give people an opportunity to donate to what we think is a much more worthy cause. We are working hard trying to raise 7 healthy, happy, caring, conservative kids in our home.
You might ask, why $70k ? Good question! We choose $70k for a few reasons. #1, $70k is very close to the same amount that our family saves taxpayers (i.e. the provincial government) each and every year by homeschooling our own kids, and #2, $70k it is exactly 7 times more than what was raised for a single piglet in distress.
We choose to homeschool our kids, at great personal expense, to avoid the many and well known pitfalls of our public education system. This takes a huge investment of both time and money.
Your donation of $50 could help buy a pair of shoes, boots or supplies for a hunting trip.
Your donation of $100 could help pay for music lessons or a trip to the movies.
Your donation of $250 could help pay for an on-line class or help finish our chicken coop.
Your donation of $500 could help pay for a field trip.
Your donation of $1000 could help buy a new computer or a bike.
Your donation of $2000 could help buy groceries for an entire month.
Your donation of $3000 could help us pay for our annual RESP contribution for our kids future educational goals.
We would be extremely grateful for any donation to our campaign in any amount. I would really like to take the kids on a great adventure next summer and any extra cash would make a huge difference to our family budget.
Even if you can't afford to make a donation, we would greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers. We also plan to donate 10% or all funds to our favorite charity (Chalice international) and we will honor any donors in our prayers.
We will be sure to update the GoFundMe community with details of our adventures and how we spend any funds that might be raised over the course of this campaign.
People really stepped up to help out that injured piglet, we hope that many more people might be inspired to help out a real family of, well, humans.
