Raise Money for Student Film: Silence is Betrayal

Hello! I am Ayanna Barnes, the writer and director of Silence is Betrayal, my senior thesis project.

As I continued to grow in my college career, people would ask me what my career goal was. I always replied that I wanted to become the voice for the voiceless. I wanted to empower people by telling the stories they needed to hear. For my senior thesis, I wanted to stay true to that goal. Thus, Silence is Betrayal.

Silence is Betrayal is a story about a female college student, Anika Anderson, who was attacked by a public safety officer at her college. The attack left more mental scars than physical. Anika's healing journey becomes harder when her college offers her a once-in-a-lifetime deal in return for her silence.
