Rafael Rivera's Family - Hurricane

Help donate to Rafael Rivera's wife’s family housing relief.
 
Hurricane Maria that hit Puerto Rico has caused major housing loss and damage to our friend Colleagues extended family there.  Three family members lost their roof and basically everything.

I got the following text message back from Rafael.... I am doing fine, my home no damage thanks God. We are safe, but some in my wife family lose Everything. Total disaster everywhere. 
 Just to send message, have to leave home around 1 to 2 miles. This has been terrible all Island is under curfew 5 PM due to looting, The signal of communication are bad
at 10 PM apparently.  Everything. Total disaster everywhere. I will keep you posted.

I briefly spoke with Rafi today, as he was is in a gas line to get gasoline for their generator.  They will be without power for 1-2months.  Everything is getting rationed. You can only buy $20 worth of gas.  Communication is very poor, and many cellphone towers are down. Curfews every evening at 5pm to stay off the streets.

The family will try to get help from Insurance, FEMA, and the American Red Cross, but they will need all the help they can get initially to get through this rough time.
