Racing for Clover 2022

Donation protected
After the dust settled on my 100k ultra marathon for little Clover in June 2021 I was wondering how I could do something to support her again in 2022.

With everyone’s kindness and generosity for my last fundraiser, we raised an amazing amount of money for Clovers medication, which incredibly ended up at £4,435!!
But put into context for the Carkeet family, this is only 4 months worth of medication for Clover so I would again, like to do what I can to support a beautiful little girl and her amazing family.

This fundraiser will be a little bit different.
In 2022 I will be doing a variation of separate races over the spring and summer.

Firstly on the 27th February I will be running the Two Tunnels half marathon in Bath.

Secondly on the 6th of March I will be running 33 miles on the Imber Trail. Starting in Westbury and following the trail path over Salisbury plain.

My third race will be on the 27th of March in Weston Super Mare., the Weston Super Half. A 13.1 mile half marathon.

My fourth race will be on the 24th of April in Taunton, following the Blackdown Hills Trail over 13.1 miles.

My fifth race will be on the 29th of May in Biggleswade. The 50km Greensand Country Ultra Trail.

My sixth race will be on the 25th June in Wales, running 26.2 miles on the beautiful Afan Forest Trail.

My seventh race will be on the 10th of July, running 26.2 miles at the stunning Snowdonia Trail Marathon

My eighth  race will be on the 6th August and I will be running 50 miles in the beautiful scenery of Powys, Wales.

My Go Fund Me is to raise money for Clover, to help in the monthly costs of her medication which costs the family over a £1,000 a month and is self funded by Clovers parents, Em and Spence.

Clover was diagnosed with Aicardi Syndrome and Infantile Spasms when she was 3 months old. She suffers from intractable epilepsy, that does not respond to frontline anti-epileptic medications.  After a long battle and many ups and downs, the family have finally managed to get her seizures under control, but this is only through expensive private prescriptions and multiple journeys to clinics and therapy groups.

Clover currently has the best seizure control the family have seen but they struggle to keep up with the cost, and cannot afford to fund this huge outlay alone. The main priority is to keep Clover safe and healthy, and I will be so grateful for any contributions towards my fundraising target so that I can support this wonderful family and hope that Clover can continue to grow up as the adventurous, giggly, amazing little girl that she is.
Every donation received goes directly towards little Clover’s medication

Thank you for taking the time to read about my fundraiser and thank you in advance for your support.
