Rach fight her biggest battle

Donación protegida
G’day everyone. My name is James, and I am running the very first Wollongong marathon in April 2025 to raise funds for my sister Rachel. Last month at 31 years old, Rachel found a lump in her breast and due to our family history she was immediately concerned, shortly after she was diagnosed with treatable but aggressive breast cancer. Her world came crashing down as she had only just accepted her dream job which she had been working towards for the last 6 years. She has sacrificed so much in order to achieve her dream of becoming a doctor and giving back to her community. Prior to this she had dedicated her life to animals, working as a vet. My sister has always wanted to be there for others in times of need. She will now require 6 months of intensive treatment including chemotherapy and a double mastectomy. Her oncology team have prescribed aggressive treatment to give her the best chance of beating this however this will obviously leave her unable to work.
Not only has she lost the opportunity to work, but she only has enough sick leave to last until December 2024. Rachel has spent her life helping both animals and people, and I am hoping to give back a small token to assist in what will be her hardest battle in life so far. She is never one to ask for any help & as her older brother I have taken it upon myself because I know people want to support her during this time. Any small amount helps, even a gold coin donation. Rachel would never accept this without also giving back, so half the funds will be donated to Breast Cancer Network Australia.
