My sister, Ari Larson, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning at her home in Sandy, Utah. She leaves behind her 16-year-old daughter, Savannah, her 12-year-old son, Chase, our mother and stepfather, Janet and Dave, and me, her sister. Her death took us all by surprise, and she had no assets to speak of. As a result, my family is trying our best to throw together the funds for a basic graveside service to bury her in Clarkston, Utah.

I have set the goal for $500. I do not expect to raise this much, and to be honest we need much more than that. But for the first time in my life I have no shame in asking for monetary help. If you can donate anything, even $1, $5, whatever, it will help defray the cost of burying my sister. Update: We have raised an incredible amount in such a short time, we will be able to afford her service and maybe be able to put a small amount aside for her two kids.
