Before the lockdown our church was preparing to hold a coffee morning for victims of domestic abuse. Like many other events it had to be cancelled. The money raised would have gone to Glasgow Woman's Aid, who have, are and will continue to work tirelessly to help all who are deeply traumatised, often for a lifetime, by domestic abuse.
The media is now reporting that these incidences of abuse have increased greatly since the lockdown.
Women's Aid are among the unsung heroes in our communities who have always gone the extra mile to help those affected by physical, emotional and sexual abuse in their own homes.
Our coffee morning may not happen for many weeks yet so I am asking if you could make a contribution, however small, to help Women's Aid to give help and hope to children, young people and adult victims. Every penny donated goes directly to the charity.
God bless you all.
