Support for the Cody Family

As some of you may be aware, the Cody family was surprised to find out Linda had stage IV metastatic lung cancer in March of 2022. In November of 2022, their world came to another screeching halt when Charlotte was diagnosed with AML, the most aggressive form of childhood leukemia. Charlotte began treatment at CHOP, while Linda continued her treatments at HUP (Hospital of the University of Philadelphia). Charlotte's cancer treatment is aggressive, requiring an almost complete inpatient stay at CHOP for the duration of treatment (minimum 6 months). Linda continued to support Charlotte during her treatment while undergoing treatment herself, unfortunately, she was unable to continue due to the progression of her disease. A decision was made for Linda to enter hospice and receive care closer to where Charlotte is currently undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, Linda could not make the move and sadly passed away on March 10th, 2023. The Cody family has lost a mother, wife, sister, and friend.

As many of you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll this has taken on the family has been significant. Mel has had to travel to and from their hometown to the center city of Philadelphia (where both Charlotte and Linda received treatment). Charlotte is currently receiving treatment closer to home, but Mel must commute daily to support Charlotte. The family has had numerous medical expenses throughout this time. Any funds raised through this will go to support Mel and Charlotte in this trying time.

Charlotte continues to show bravery in the face of the scariest battle. Her one wish is to be able to take a trip and properly say goodbye to her mother once treatment has been completed. The Cody family would like to extend their deepest love and gratitude to everyone who has reached out and offered support. There are no words to express how thankful and blessed they are to have everyone.
