Feeding First Responders - Covid Response

Tuesday 5-16-2030 we served just shy of 150, our first responders are tired. The EMS personnel - Just WOW !! Thank you to the contributions from some super phenomenal folks that allowed us to pop back up for a few days. Today’s Menu 100% beef burger with REAL crispy fried bacon AND American cheese The Dog-A-Rito - all beef hotdog, chili, cheese, fresh onion rolled in a tortilla and grilled IT’s not a hot dog IT’s not a burrito ! IT’s a Dog-a-Rito !! Eat Atlanta 2020 Exclusive” Homemade Banana Pudding Gratitude is action. As of June 6 - we are making snack bags for workers at the COVID testing stations, however the demand is for a quick hot lunch - our service is open to police, fire, ambulance & sanitation workers. Our cost for a hot meal is 6k a week - while open to ALL agencies, we serve 150-300 per day. We are offering this service to ANY county, jurisdiction or station !! We are hoping to continue to fund this effort and continue to serve a no cost hot, fresh, safe meal. Eat Atlanta, LLC has provided a state of art mobile trailer and staff for 8 weeks now and have every intention of continuing. Gratitude is ACTION. MAY 24 - Eat Atlanta will begin a coffee / grab bag service at the Pine Lake Police Station from 7-11 AM. Hoping to shame chick fil a into a donation !! But we received a generous cash donation that will allow us to restart up after a week of cleaning and resting ! Thank you for supporting this positive action !! The good is snowballing !! May 12 - UPDATE ! Just passed the 5300 meals served to First responders !! May 6 - UPDATE ! 4300 meals to date !! AND STILL going !! Served 300 meals today .... Thank you for your continued SUPPORT. We crossed the 3000 meal mark today !! What’s more important is our little town is a safe haven & Meal for these Men & Women facing a new reality as it unfolds. No playbook right now. And the gratitude can truly be felt - which is great because our old ways of expressing gratitude have been stripped. GRATITUDE. It’s a big team effort going on - that has become contagious! Ferrell gas delivered our propane yesterday and wouldn’t take our money !! That is huge !! And of course Mayor Hammet & Chief Green and this Dynamic city of Pine Lake, GA. THANK YOU !! WE WILL CONTINUE TO SERVE & UPDATE ! March 13. 2020 - I was laid off due to the industry wide shut down on productions due to COVID 19.  The immediate need for community support felt heavy. So, i did - what i do...talked with our Mayor, Police Chief and a TEAMSTER - moved my kitchen and got to cooking. I kicked in the start up money ( my Unexpected Vacation Check ) - with the intention of feeding 20-25 first responders - this was Monday March 30 - and we have fed up to 150 in the 4 hours we are open each day.  Literally handing them to go boxes of food as they run out on another call. Everyone takes a banana in honor of my mother Grace Morales. We are open from 1-5 everyday. So, left to myself I would go broke doing this - however reality is i need your help to continue feeding !!
