In Loving Memory of Heather Thompson

I am overwhelmed but not really surprised that in 36hrs we have exceeded our target.  Heather is massively loved and respected in Grange Villa and beyond and your generous donations are testimony to that.

I struggled to decide a target amount and didn't want to seem presumptuous but with your support I would like us to continue donating to provide some financial stability to Gary and Rachael until Gary is well enough to return to work and Rachael is able to re open her business in these terrible circumstances.

We all face challenges in life and Covid has done its worse for one local family. Heather was admitted to hospital with Covid.  After numerous medical interventions, she was finally intubated.

While she was fighting for her life, unknown to her, her husband Gary was also admitted to the same hospital with Covid.  After a 2 week stay Gary is now at home making a slow but steady recovery and he will be off work for a little while yet.

Sadly this morning Heather lost her fight battling against this cruel virus, leaving her family devastated.  Family and Friends will miss Heather, her generosity and community spirit hugely and to give her the funeral and send off she deserves and avoid any unnecessary financial pressure for the family at this difficult time I have setup this page.

This small token will also acknowledge all Heather did for Grange Villa and the Community Enterprise Centre please support if you can, every £1 counts.  Your support will relieve a huge pressure and unnecessary worry for Gary, their Daughter Rachael and Heather's Mam Sheila. Thank you x
