COVID19 Womens Initiative: British Columbia

COVID-19 Women's Initiative (CWI) is a non-profit, medical student-led organization comprised of students, physicians, and community members across Canada. As a result of the pandemic, many women's shelters and domestic violence hotlines in Vancouver have found themselves overwhelmed, and underfunded.

As of September 21, 2020, we completed collecting monetary donations in order to support local women's shelters. Your donations were used to cover the increased costs of finding safe alternative housing for women, increased food requirements, PPE costs, and other shelter-specific costs.
