October 2021
Update 12.10.2021 The Emergency Food Bank continues was set up to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic, demand for a food parcel has continued and  19 months later we continue to operate and distribute food to the Rushenden & Queenborough Community.

Household utility cost increased, furlough payments stopping and Universal Credit payments reduced has resulted in a rise for requests for a food parcel.

To date approximately 1,100 food parcels have been provided.

We ask again for donations through this fundraising page to go towards purchasing necessary food and supplies for the food bank to continue running and ask if you cannot afford to donate at this time, please can we ask that you kindly share this fundraiser with others.

                                                                                                                       April 2020
The Emergency Food Bank was set up in April 2020 by Queenborough Town Council in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the food bank has so far helped many residents and families in the Community of Rushenden & Queenborough in Kent,  by providing over 220 food parcels to date at 16.7.2020.

Our volunteers are Town Councillors and we continue helping anyone in the community who needs food due to isolating or loss of income resulting from Covid-19. We ensure those who are vulnerable, are able to access food and supplies during these difficult times.

Donations received through this fundraising page will go towards purchasing necessary food and supplies,  for the Kent based food bank.

We are thankful and most grateful for the support shown by RWC Partners in London, who have already double matched our existing donations and will look at double matching all donations raised through this go fund me page (i.e. for every £1 donated this could potentially become £3), through the company’s Covid-19 Response Initiative.

It is crucial that those most vulnerable in the community are looked after and your donations,  will go towards ensuring that those in need have access to essential supplies.

If you cannot afford to donate at this time, please can we ask that you kindly share this fundraiser with others.
