Medical Volunteer Trip to Ghana
Donation protected
My name is Darian H. Arias; I am a sophomore at Northern Arizona University, majoring in BSN nursing and a double minor in biology and psychology. I am a part of the Global Medical Brigades club on campus and this year we are planning a trip to Ghana, in West Africa. Global Medical Brigades is a club that brings healthcare to communities who have limited or no access to medical care. Through our assistances we are able to bring free health care, medications, and education to these community members. This trip is all volunteer based and consists of a total of eight days. Seven of those days will be hands on medical, where the volunteers will get a chance to shadow certificated doctors and nurses to assist the community with their medical needs. On the last day, we will finish the trip by educating the community about the importance of public health. Not only is this trip going to help me further my education but this is going to be an experience of a lifetime. Your contributions to this life changing experience are greatly appreciated and a true blessing.
