HELP us CELEBRATE the LIFE OF Chris Norman!!!!
My cousin Chris meant SO much to our family. We want to CELEBRATE the love and joy he gave us by helping my Aunt Holly and Cousin Denise with the burden of his end-of-life expenses. On behalf of the family, in the most devastating and humble of circumstances, we will use this GoFundMe to ensure Chris's life is remembered and celebrated well. His mom and sister's desire is to have a funeral service that brings closure, hope, and inspiration to others; especially anyone who struggles with addiction.
Chris was and will always be greatly loved by countless family and friends. Nothing can ever explain the loss of such a beautiful young man's life; however, his mom Holly and sister Denise find comfort in knowing he is safe at home in heaven.
When Chris was healthy, he LOVED nothing better than spending time with his family. He enjoyed all things home: watching movies; loving on his favorite dog, Sadie; playing video games; supporting His Team, "The BENGALS;" eating Mexican food and his all-time-favorite, his mom’s meatloaf!
Chris FOUGHT HARD to overcome the battle of addiction. Some of his proudest moments were the periods of clarity and peace he found after surrendering his life to Christ and completing treatment. Chris's mom, sister, and family want to bring JOY from sorrow by Celebrating his Life with love, dignity, and respect. Chris recently was discovered outdoors, unconscious and alone, before he was hospitalized. Thankfully, he was found and surrounded by loving family and friends during his remaining days. We spent precious time singing and praying over him as he transitioned. The family is grateful for the prayers, hospital visits, presence, and friendship offered by so many loved ones over the years. They know Chris would say, "Thank you for supporting and loving me."
Chris truly cared about his friends and fought a long, hard battle against opioid addiction. In this spirit, the family wants to honor him by designing a memorial service to reach others who struggle with HOPE—so they know they are not alone.
