Many groups and communities have been affected by the Pandemic, COVID19. One that is not much talked about or thought very much about is the artist community. Performers, Dancers, Musicians...nobody seems to remember them, their contributions or even their existence!
Since the closure of Theaters, hundreds of performing artists' public events have been cancelled. Travel restrictions means no tours. Studios are closed, so no recording.
Art, Band, String and Choir programs will probably be one of the first programs to be cut in local schools, when children return in the Fall due to lack of funds or funds diverted to keeping the schools safe for students.
This will be felt more in African American Communities and under privileged districts.
Through this Global concert we want to highlight this along with bringing awareness to social justice issues of Race and Gender Equity.
