Christmas Jumper Appeal

My name is Julie and myself and my colleagues at Browns Estate Agency are collecting Christmas jumpers to be donated to children under social services care across our area, to wear for the Save the Children UK Christmas Jumper Day initiative.

For a lot of these kids under the care of children and family services , Christmas jumper day can be a day that they feel excluded and don't want to go to school. These children face so much hardship at such a young age and we would like to do something to make them feel special at this time of year.

Last year was a huge success and we received so many reports from Middlesbrough Council's social care team about how delighted the kids were to simply have something new that belonged to them.

We have set this page up for those who would like to contribute, but are unable to drop a new jumper into our offices. Anyone who would like to drop off a jumper with us for the children, please note that due to restrictions, only new, unworn items are able to be donated.

The funds will be used to purchase a range of styles and sizes, from toddler to secondary school age. We will be collecting donations until Tuesday December 7th, before delivering the jumpers to the council's children and family services, who will then share out among children under their care.
