Hi,
My name is Madisen Hayes. I'm 23 years old. Fresh college graduate - and I'm trying to move forward, but I can't do it alone :) here is my story:
My life's journey is to tell stories. I'm an actress, director, and musician. I want to share and investigate people's stories, an accumulation of lives lived, lives lost, and lives earned. Stories that are an examination of the human condition, more specifically understanding the reality of relationships in both intra and inter personal connections. Now this sounds really complicated, but its really quite simple. I want to uphold humanity's oldest profession: I want to be a storyteller :)
After auditioning several hundred applicants, the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts has chosen to accept 32 students; 16 males, and 16 females. I have miraculously been invited to attend this prestigious 2 year conservatory in California. This acceptance is a wonderful opportunity that not many artists are invited to participate in.
PCPA will be the next step in my training and career as a working theatre professional. Unlike my current university, though wonderful, has credential and certification goals, while the conservatory focuses primarily on vocational realities and ties. PCPA will contain various opportunities to learn under currently working professionals in master classes, seminars, and performance opportunities. The Conservatory offers culture identity and literacy, and aims to improve the quality of life for everyone involved, including their audience. This school aims to cultivate artistry and ethics of professional practice and uphold tradition in the arts. The courses offered exclusively at PCPA will allow me to obtain and hone new skills critical to the effective actor, focusing especially in acting, vocal performance, movement, and dance. At PCPA I will be able to share in stories, in the telling of them, and the family and relationships made there.
