Ironman Copenhagen 2024 in Aid of Autistic Girls Network
Hello, my name is Martin and I will be completing a full Ironman distance in Copenhagen in August 2024 in honour of my granddaughter who is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. A full Ironman Triathlon distance combines of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a marathon 26.22 mile run.
Do you want to help me in making a difference to girls and young women living with Autism Spectrum Disorder? I'm raising money in aid of Autistic Girls Network who is a local charity to myself and my granddaughter, every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that personally means so much to me.
More information about Autistic Girls Network: Autistic Girls Network is a charity campaigning for earlier diagnosis and supporting autistic girls and their families. Girls are diagnosed on average 2-3 years later than boys and this delay in recognition and support can cause severe mental health difficulties, including high rates of suicidal deaths. Boys are 4 x more likely to be diagnosed than girls, we want all autistic girls to be recognised and supported in primary school with their differences, not deficits. Autistic girls are more likely to mask their symptoms and there for go undiagnosed for years and as a result struggle throughout their lives. We can help make these changes and support Autistic girls, their family and education providers in understanding Autism and to give girls and young women the support that they need and deserve.
Please sponsor me in making these positive changes, if you can. THANK YOU.
